Recently, the results of a study of ExpORL by Lien Decruy, Jonas Vanthornhout and Tom Francart were covered by Belgian national news. The study results show that older people have trouble understanding speech, even if their hearing is fine. This relates to the often heard complaint: "I can hear you but I cannot understand you".
