Neetha Das obtained her PhD!





Another successful PhD defense! Last week, Neetha Das presented her thesis "EEG-based Auditory Attention Decoding: Towards Neuro-steered Hearing Devices" and obtained her PhD degree. We would like to wish her all the best in the future. Congratulations, Neetha!

Congratulations to Jonas Vanthornhout, our most recent PhD!


Dr. Vanthornhout successfully defended his thesis "Towards an objective and automatic measure of speech understanding", concluding an impressive PhD project. ExpORL greatly appreciates his hard work and we are glad to now have him on the team as a post-doc. Well done!

SPIN workshop 2020

Last week, the 12th Speech in Noise Workshop took place in Toulouse, France. Three of our lab members joined the conference. Sara Magits, who won the Colin Cherry award at the previous SPIN workshop, was invited for a talk. Eline Verschueren and Elien Van den Borre both presented a poster. They had a great time, both at the conference and exploring the city.
